"What's the Big Deal About Korean TV
Dramas?" A common question
reporters ask us is, "Why would Americans watch Korean TV
dramas?" We do our best to explain why K-dramas are so great!
However, what better way for the media to understand than to
talk to the fans themselves!
If you are an outspoken
and proud K-drama fan, who is not afraid to talk to a few
reporters, let us know! Email YA
Entertainment and we will add you to our list of fans
reporters can contact.

Dong-Joo (Lee Dong-Gun,
Lovers in Paris and Ruler of Your Own World) is about to find
out. Abandoned at a young age, Dong-Joo grew up in an
orphanage with his best friend Gi-Tae (Kim Sung-Soo, Lawyers
and Full House). After the arrival of Ji-Soo (Kim Ha-Neul,
Romance, Happy Together, Secret), the two friends become
rivals, competing for her affection. An accident, however,
soon separates the friends. Adopted by a wealthy Japanese
couple, Dong-Joo leaves Korea behind.
Twelve years
later, Dong-Joo returns to Korea, only to find Gi-Tae and
Ji-Soo are now together. Though Dong-Joo greatly values his
friendship with Gi-Tae, his love for Ji-Soo is as strong as
ever. Can Dong-Joo win back Ji-Soo's heart without destroying
his bond with Gi-Tae?
YA Entertainment is proud to
present Stained Glass, a touching story of romance and
friendship. The pain of loss, the power of love, and the ache
of longing all await you in this timeless tale.

Question 1
“I love the music for the Korean
TV dramas. They are so beautiful. Where can I go to purchase
these soundtracks? Also, have you ever thought of adding the
soundtrack to your DVD’s?”
Answer: Yes, I have wanted
to include the drama soundtracks with our DVD boxsets since
the beginning. However, international music copyrights can be
tricky, and we need some more time to make sure everything is
done properly. As for purchasing the soundtracks on CD, I
would recommend YesAsia.com or Annyoung.com. I agree the
drama music is absolutely wonderful. And the drama producers
know exactly what type of music to use during all the
different scenes and plot developments. The combination of the
Korean drama storylines and musical soundtracks is truly
magical (and so dang addicting!).
Question
2
“I want to buy the DVD box sets for "What Planet
Are You From". Could you please let me know if YA
Entertainment has any plans to release that
title?”
Answer: Yes! We will release "What Planet Are
You From" on DVD with English subtitles in early 2007. Kim Rae
Won cracks me up. And he and Jung Ryu Won from My Lovely
Sam-Soon should have wonderful chemistry together. I
personally look forward to this one.

When Jun-Yeong (Kwon Sang Woo, Stairway to Heaven) and
Hye-In (Kim Hee Sun, Goodbye My Love, Tomato) were young, they
believed their love could conquer all. However, when fate
separates the two through a series of unfortunate
circumstances, the very foundation of their young love is
shaken.
MBC’s TV drama, Sad Love Story broke all
records with an impressive top production cost of 7 billion
won (around 7million US dollars). This classic romantic story
was originally scheduled to star Song Seung-Hun in the role of
Jun-Yeong, but Kwon Sang Woo stepped in when Song withdrew to
enlist in his obligatory military service- making Sad Love
Story a center of attention from the media during
production.
Fall in love all over again with Sad Love
Story, a story that proves there really is nothing more
powerful than love-not even
death.

From singer to
actress, Yoon Eun-hye has been the center of attention ever
since her 1999 debut with K-pop music sensation, Baby VOX.
Deemed one of the hottest stars of 2006, Eun-hye (age 21) has
managed to become a major force within the Hayllu movement.
In 1997, the five-member girl group, Baby VOX, blasted
its way into K-pop stardom. As one of the forerunners of the
Korean Wave, Baby VOX was one of the first bands to promote
themselves overseas. In 1999, Yoon was the latest addition to
the group, labeling her as the ‘baby’ of the group. But it was
her happy-go-lucky attitude and adorable looks that really
made her popularity and fan base grow.
When her
contract was up in July of 2005, Yoon decided to branch out
into acting. With no formal training as an actress, Yoon was
able to take the lead in one of Korea’s hottest new dramas,
“Palace” (aka Princess Hours) . Palace is the fictitious story
a royal family that still rules over modern-day Korea. Yoon,
plays the part of Chae-Gyung - an average girl who finds
herself the new bride to the crown price of Korea. Trapped
between the royal secrets of the palace, numerous plots to
overthrow the crown and romantic love triangles-Chae-Gyung
struggles to maintain what is left of her chaotic teenage
life.
From dramas, commercials, variety shows and
modeling, there isn’t much this bright-eyed pop icon hasn’t
done. So what’s next? Yoon is taking on the silver screen in
the major motion picture release of “Escaping Charisma”. She
can also be seen in the popular KBS drama, “The Vineyard Man.”
