Question and Answer: You ask, Tom answers

Question: I heard you will be releasing Be Strong Geumsoon. I know it's like 150 or 160 episodes, but each episode is only a half hour. Will you release it in one set? Or in multiple sets?

Answer: Thank you for your question. I am really excited about our upcoming release of "Be Strong Geum-Soon." I wanted to release it back in early 2006. But because of various reasons, we weren't able to make it happen. After our release of "Jumong" last year, there has been a renewed interest in Han Hye Jin (the main actress in "Be Strong Geum-Soon" and the leading lady in "Jumong"). "Be Strong Geum-Soon" is a charming "family drama" that offers a lot of comfort, hope, and laughs. "Be Strong Geum-Soon" has 163 episodes, and each episode is roughly 30 minutes in length. So our current plan is to release it in four volumes, with each volume containing about 20 - 21 hours of programming.

DVD Review: Super Rookie
"an unexpected pleasure" John Sinnott, DVD Talk

SRc1.jpgSRc6.jpg

I first heard of Korean TV dramas a couple of years ago. While I've only read good things about them, I knew they often involved love triangles and unrequited emotions, which sounded too melodramatic for my tastes. When DVDTalk reviewer Jeffrey Robinson reviewed a few series and raved about them however, (including Jumong and Dae Jang Geum) I decided to see what all the fuss was about. Which brings me to Super Rookie, my first K-Drama. I was expecting a mildly enjoyable program, but this 20-episode series knocked me off my feet. Filled with well defined and fleshed out characters and one of the most engaging story lines I've seen in a while, this was an unexpected pleasure. (READ MORE)
