Many top stars in their 20s will join the army for their two-year mandatory service.
Jo In-sung (Something Happened in Bali, Spring Days, Shoot for The Stars) will join the Air Force’s band in March. Jo’s father was a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force.
Kim Rae-won (The Grand Chef,
Rooftop Room Cat, My Love Patzzi, What Planet Are You From?, My Little
Bride) will join the army within the first half of the year, but he
might star in one more movie or drama before then.
Lee Dong-gun
(Stained Glass, Ruler of Your Own World) is also choosing his
last movie or drama before joining the army.
Lee Jun-ki (Time Between Dog & Wolf, My Girl) said in an interview last year that he’d join the army voluntarily within 2009.
Kim Jae-won (Romance, My Love Patzzi) will soon decide when to join the army.
